The event marked an important milestone and the beginning of a series of educational support initiatives funded through the 16th Montgomerie Links Club Championships.

FROM A GOLF TOURNAMENT TO A JOURNEY OF SUPPORTING UNIVERSITY DREAMS

Implemented as part of the 16th Club Championships, Green Hope 2026 continues the community responsibility journey that Montgomerie Links has pursued consistently since 2018.

Through Green Hope Corner and the live charity auction held during the Gala Awards Dinner, Green Hope 2026 successfully raised 270.300.000 VND. All products sold at Green Hope Corner and the auction items were generously contributed by Montgomerie Links, its partners, and sponsors, with 100% of proceeds dedicated to the project. The fund is used to provide educational support packages for underprivileged freshmen from Dien Ban Dong Ward, Da Nang.

The first group of beneficiaries are former students of Luong The Vinh High School. They were nominated by the school and local authorities based on their family circumstances, before being directly assessed and verified by Montgomerie Links. Despite facing significant financial challenges, all of them demonstrated remarkable determination in their studies and earned admission to universities across Central Vietnam. Through Green Hope 2026, Montgomerie Links hopes to ease part of the financial burden associated with higher education while encouraging these students to confidently pursue their academic aspirations.

During the first presentation ceremony held on September 5, 2026, representatives of Montgomerie Links awarded educational support packages, including laptops, motorbikes, and cash scholarships, to nine freshmen who had recently been admitted to universities. Each package was carefully designed based on the individual needs and aspirations of the students, ensuring meaningful support as they transition from high school to university life.

Specifically, Vo Quy Tien (Electrical Engineering - Talented Program, University of Science and Technology, The University of Danang) and Le Tu Hoang Long (Information Technology, University of Sciences, Hue University) received Lenovo laptops together with enrollment scholarships, valued at VND 21,990,000 per student. These support packages were selected to align with their academic pathways and better accommodate the specialized software requirements of their respective fields of study. Three other freshmen - Dang Thi Ngan Hang (Social Work, University of Education - The University of Danang), Le Tuan Minh (Multimedia Communications, Dong A University), and Huynh Thi Mai Linh (Psychology, Dong A University) - received laptops and enrollment scholarships valued at VND 19,490,000 each, providing them with essential learning tools for their university journey.

These packages were designed to provide greater convenience in transportation, study, and daily living as the students begin university life.

Through these tailored support packages, Green Hope 2026 aims to alleviate some of the initial financial pressures associated with higher education, allowing the students to focus on their studies and pursue their dreams with confidence.

JOINING MONTGOMERIE LINKS IN SPREADING SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY VALUES

During the Opening Ceremony at Luong The Vinh High School, representatives of Montgomerie Links personally presented the educational support packages to the students and their families, marking the first disbursement from the Green Hope 2026 fund.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Le Vo Hoang Van, Club Manager, shared: “Green Hope is more than a charitable activity associated with a tournament. We see it as a bridge that brings together the golfing community to create meaningful opportunities for young people. Every laptop, scholarship, and motorbike presented today is not only practical support but also a message that these students are not alone on their journey. We hope these contributions will inspire them to step confidently into university life, continue striving for excellence, and one day give back to the community in their own ways.”

The presentation ceremony at Luong The Vinh High School represents an important milestone in the Green Hope 2026 journey, but it is not the project's final chapter. With remaining funds continuing to be managed and allocated in line with the project's original objectives, Montgomerie Links will implement additional support phases in the coming months, expanding educational opportunities for more students facing financial hardship.

Through Green Hope, Montgomerie Links remains committed to strengthening the spirit of community responsibility that has accompanied the Club Championships for many years, ensuring that each tournament season is remembered not only for outstanding achievements on the golf course but also for the positive impact it creates within the local community and among future generations.
