Green Hope 2023, the CSR Project of the 13th Club Championships, successfully raised 200 million VND to support disadvantaged families in Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province.

A MEMORABLE EDITION OF CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023

The 13th Montgomerie Links Club Championships concluded on a high note, reaffirming its position as one of the Club's signature annual tournaments. More than 140 golfers came together for several days of exciting competition, complemented by a vibrant Golf Fair, the Awards Gala Dinner, and a range of networking activities that brought the golfing community closer together.

Beyond the competition itself, Green Hope 2023 once again served as a meaningful platform where members, golfers, sponsors, and business partners joined hands to make a positive impact on the community.

"The true legacy of a tournament is measured not only by the trophies presented, but by the positive impact it leaves behind."

GREEN HOPE 2023 – WHEN THE GOLF COMMUNITY CAME TOGETHER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Throughout the Club Championships, Green Hope 2023 featured a series of fundraising activities, including the popular Hole 5 Charity Challenge, on-site donation boxes, and a charity auction held during the Awards Gala Dinner.

The auction showcased eight exclusive items generously contributed by leading golf and lifestyle brands, including ECCO Vietnam, Titleist Vietnam, Noressy, TaylorMade, Aristino, Handee, and Cobra Puma Golf Vietnam. One of the evening's highlights was the auction of the competition shirt worn by SEA Games 32 gold medalist Le Khanh Hung during the opening round at Garden City Golf Club, where he posted an impressive 69 (-3) on his way to winning Vietnam's historic gold medal. Personally signed by the young champion, the shirt symbolised determination, sporting excellence, and the aspiration to inspire future generations through golf.

The spirited bidding reflected not only the generosity of the golfing community but also its strong belief in the future of Vietnamese golf. The signed shirt was successfully auctioned for VND 100 million, jointly contributed by Mr. Nguyen Bao Hop and golfer Le Van Lan.

Together with contributions from other fundraising activities, Green Hope 2023 raised a total of 200 million VND, demonstrating how the collective support of the golfing community can create meaningful change beyond the fairways.

DIRECT SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES FACING EXTRAORDINARY CHALLENGES

Unlike many charitable initiatives, Green Hope 2023 focused on direct support through on-site assessments and personal visits to each beneficiary. The entire 200 million was presented directly to 20 disadvantaged families in Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province, in the presence of representatives from Montgomerie Links Golf Club and local authorities.

Many of these families were living in severely deteriorated homes while struggling with long-term illness or financial hardship. Yet what left the strongest impression on the Club's team was the resilience of the children, who continued attending school every day with the hope that education would offer a brighter future.

Every contribution represented more than financial assistance. It was a message of encouragement, reminding these families that they were not alone, and that an entire community stood beside them on their journey.
